We are accepting applications for Full-Time Metal Building Assembler Apprentices or Journeyman/Journeywoman.

Knowledge of post-frame or pre-engineered metal buildings is desired but not required. This position is full-time, year-round with 40+ hours per week. Most job sites are along I-380 from Kalona, IA to Hiawatha, IA. There is classroom and job site training requirements that will be expected. The owners work on-site with everyone as a team. Punctuality, honesty, and a desire to follow plans are a must.

Interested applicants will meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma, equivalency, or request consideration for his/her work life experience.
• Physically capable of preforming the essential functions of the training programs, with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. 
• Ability to work at heights above 20 feet, and in inclement weather.
• Reliable transportation to the job or office.
• Possess speaking, reading and comprehension abilities for understanding instructions applicable to their job. 
• Minimum of one year of Metal Building industry as general labor, or 2-3 years of wood framing experience, or combined 3 years of general construction experiences.

New hires will receive the following training within their first 6 months:

• Driving safety, fall protection, Fall Hazards, Connector Safety, ANSI MSD, Field assembly training, CDZ Safety.

Completion of the following training will be required:

• MBI Quality and Artisanship training and exams.
• OHSA 10 Training and exams.

Employees with 2 years' experience will be required to complete:

• Aerial work platform safety.
• Rough Terrain Forklift Safety Qualified Operator.
• Rigging, Hot Safety work, Fall protection / Hazards Trainings.

Pay based on experience in construction and Pre-Engineered Metal buildings training program completion.

Experience:

• Metal building erection: 1 year (Preferred)
